I'll get more guys. Push comes to shove, I'll take his shifts, but Harvey's done, Dad. I'm not gonna let him waste his life like...
— Tommy to Mr. Kinkle[src]

Thomas "Tommy" Kinkle was a recurring character on Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He was portrayed by Justin Dobies.

Tommy was Harvey Kinkle's older brother who remained in Greendale to protect Harvey from their abusive father. However, Tommy would meet his end after Agatha and Dorcas performed a spell to crush him within the Greendale Mines. Although Sabrina did manage to resurrect Tommy, she did so without restoring his soul, thus forcing Harvey to put him down.

Character Description[]

Tommy is described as nurturing and protective of his little brother while working in the Greendale mines, a job he hates, so that Harvey can stay in school and hopefully get out of their backwards town.[1]

Early Life[]

Tommy was born and raised in Greendale. He attended Baxter High, where he joined Baxter High Ravens. Having shown great prowess in the sport, he was was offered a full ride scholarship to Notre Dame, however, he declined due to his home situation, wanting to protect his younger brother Harvey from their abusive father. Stuck in Greendale, Tommy then got an job at Greendale Mines working under his father so there would be at least one more Kinkle working full-time in the mines since he knew that Harvey was traumatized from something he saw in the mines years ago. He had a girlfriend named Martha who was kind and smart. He proposed to her, but they broke up because she didn’t want to stay in Greendale. He later met a girl named Alison who was very self-centered and wanted to go to LA with Tommy, but he turned her down.

Throughout Chilling Adventures of Sabrina[]

Physical Appearance[]

Tommy was a young man with brown eyes and brown hair. Tommy wore casual clothes in a similar style to his brother Harvey; T-shirts, flannel shirts, jeans, and sneakers.

Personality[]

Tommy was a nurturing and highly protective person, especially towards his younger brother. Tommy would work his shift in the mines due to the childhood trauma Harvey suffered there. He was also supportive of his brother's dreams of being an artist. Even after his resurrection, he protected Harvey from their father, shocking Harvey since Tommy wasn't an aggressive person by nature, suggesting that even without his soul, Tommy cares deeply for his brother. In Mortal Limbo, Tommy appeared confused; he didn't remember the mine collapsing, leading to his death, although he was concerned with Sabrina's sudden appearance there.

Tommy and Mr. Kinkle

Tommy had an estranged relationship with his alcoholic and abusive father for many years. It started shortly after his mother died when he and Harvey were just children. Whilst Tommy was capable of protecting himself, Harvey was not. So Tommy stayed home from college to protect his brother as he was not afraid of their father. He was shown to stand up to him on multiple occasions, the most recent time being when he was resurrected without his soul, and that was perhaps the most aggressive instance.

Harvey and Tommy

Tommy was Harvey's older brother and his only line of defense against their alcoholic and abusive father. Tommy stayed home from college in order to protect Harvey from him. He supported Harvey's dreams to become an artist and defended his decisions to not work in the family mines. Tommy even took on more hours so that Harvey wouldn't have to as he knew that Harvey was traumatized from a previous experience in the mines. Unfortunately, during one of his shifts, the mines collapsed on top of Tommy, killing him. However, he was resurrected by Sabrina, though in his second chance at life, he was without a soul and not the brother that Harvey had come to know and love, forcing Harvey to kill him.
