As CAOS is about to be released, and I presume there will be numerous deaths due to the nature of the show, should create separate pages for both deaths in Riverdale and in CAOS? Obviously that'll only be done after Sabrina is released though. Just a thought. ^_^
Riverdale officially is FALLING! They are shamefully and shamelessly ripping off Stranger Things with the Gargoyle King, a complete and total copy and rip off of the Demogorgon. Also, Griffyns and Gargoyles? THIS IS A TOTAL RIP OFF OF DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS! SHAME ON RIVERDALE, SHAME ON THIS SHOW, SSSSSSHHHHHHAAAAAMMMMMEEEEEEEE! This show has no originality anymore! They also ripped off The Shawshank Redemption with that stupid prison name Shankshaw (SERIOUSLY?!) and Archie's Season 3 plot. And they ripped off IT with "you'll fly to", it's "you'll float too". THIS SHOW THAT I ONCE REALLY LIKED IS FALLING! IT. IS. DECLINING! Ripping off Stranger Things, Shawshank Redemption and IT? What a shame, Riverdale. What. A. Shame.
I'm just curious to see if you think Riverdale is ripping off Stranger Things (Gargoyle King; Griffyns and Gargoyles), Shawshank Redemption (Shankshaw Prison; Archie's S3 Plot) and IT (you'll fly too), and that the show is in decline and running out of originality and ideas like I do. Do you share my thoughts and feelings about this?
Also, Twin Peaks and Stranger Things have always been better shows than Riverdale. That's a fact. Killer BOB is one of the scariest and most depraved villains in television history, who would make every villain in Riverdale squirm!
Regarding CAOS, I was wondering if you'd ever consider puzzling it into its own wikia? The reason why I ask is because it seems big enough to be on its own wiki, separate from this one.
I understand the reasons why both Riverdale and CAOS share a wiki, considerably as they're in the same universe (potentially) and have the same creator, etc. I feel though that they're two separate shows and both have their own identities, and it may be conflicting having CAOS be on this wiki. CAOS isn't really a spin-off anymore either.
Hey Dragon Pulse! I'm pretty sure you've messaged me about this matter before. Or someone has at least. The fact of the matter is that it's a shared universe. They've already established this and they even continue to promote the show as a spin off. Literally almost every article I read has Riverdale spin-off in it. RAS has even said he's hopeful for a crossover. Until they decide to officially disassociate the two shows, everything Sabrina will be found here. Also, it's not a about how big or small Sabrina is. the Arrowverse Wiki has like what, 10 shows give or take. It's about the fact that the shows are connected
As it stands, the URL will remain as it is. Wikidale is not a recognizable term. No one would know what the Wikidale Wiki is. Now, unless a phrase is coined for this shared universe e.g. Riververse or something to that effect, the URL wont change.
Hey Killer kev! How're you? Excited about the new Riverdale season? I also can’t wait for Sabrina to come out!!! I wanted to reach out and see if you'd be interested in working with us to refresh the community main page. We’re partnering with Netflix on this and we wanted to update the wiki so that it’s more in line with the Season 3 key art. The new color scheme would match with the Sabrina aesthetic and tie everything together. For an example of some of our past work go to the American Horror Story wiki. The new layout was created by our design team.
But before we do that we wanted to know if there was anything on the wiki that you wouldn’t like changed? We want to respect the fact that it’s your wiki and we’re only here to help make it be the best that it can be. However, we do have a couple of suggestions. We’d like to remove the character tabber because it’s bad for mobile. We were thinking that the character gallery could look something like what the Breaking Bad wiki has done for its shows. We’d also like to either move down or remove the slider as it’s better for SEO if the first thing visitors see is the character gallery.
Let me know what you think about all this and if you have any questions.
What's crackin, Witnessme! Good to hear from you, as always. More excited about Sabrina than I am Riverdale. It kinda flopped last season, so I'm just hoping they can regain that excitement and momentum from S1. Funny that you've messaged me regarding the theme of the Wiki as I was planning to update it myself. I was thinking of maybe using this image for the left side and this image for the right. And make the header red and main space tan-ish. It was my hope to accomplish that within the next couple days. But with you here, I'd like to see what you have to offer. So, I'm all for a possible community update.
I appreciate that. At the moment, there's nothing that comes to mind that I wouldn't at least consider changing. Everything's up for discussion. While I'd like the slider to remain on the main page, it can moved down and replaced with the character gallery, which I'm also cool with changing. However, I'm not entirely sure I want to go with Breaking Bad's character gallery. I think I would need to see how it looks here first.
So that's where I'm at. Hope to hear back from you soon.
I've seen a lot of people with that same sentiment but I was never a huge fan of the sitcom. At least she's in support of the show. If the Charmed reboot taught us anything, it's that it could be worse. As for the Breaking Bad character gallery, I guess it's just that I've seen that style done many times before. Like I said, I'm not necessarily against it. I need to see it. And your intentions for the new color scheme?
I love the new color scheme! I think it fits both with Riverdale and Sabrina. So I had another question for you: would you be okay with me creating a Riverdale Fan Theories page? It would look a little something like this: Quantum Realm.
So we're creating a page in partnership with Netflix as part of their Season 3 launch campaign. We'd prefer it remains untouched through the end of the sponsored campaign (approximately 11/20). It'll contain mostly videos that talk about certain theories. Also, here is a mock up of what we have so far for the new main page.
What's crackin! Not sure I understand what you're asking. - A page for the Spells and Rituals for each episode of the show. The "for each episode of the show?" part is throwing me off. Are you asking will there be a new spells and rituals page created for each episode? If so, then no
Hey, don't mean to pry or be rude, but do you think you could change the header logo? I find that it's a bit difficult to read, I don't know... I made a mock-up of a logo (the one on the right) you could use instead, use it if you want to I don't mind if you don't. Anyways just thought it might help a bit! Great job on monitoring the wiki! <3 :)
Hey, FandomUser324! Not sure how the wordmark is difficult to read. It's large enough and fairly clear. I may consider changing the CAOS' font color to red for accuracy, but that's about it. I see no reason to remove 'Chilling Adventures of' from it
I think Sabrina will have a better relationship with the editing room than Riverdale. There were whole subplots with Fred and Penelope that got chopped out. Probably the deleted scenes on the DVDs for Riverdale don't even have half of what got taken out.
Is it okay to create the sub-category for "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" (to mimic the Category:Riverdale category)? I looked around and don't see one created or used like the Riverdale category is. Also I wanted to update a couple other categories page description that is or will be used across shows and with the aforementioned sub category, but wanted to make sure it's okay to do so.
I.e.: [...] on The CW's Riverdale and Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
The Relationship category is protected; whenever you get the chance please update this category or unlock it and I can do it. Doesn't matter to me.
I did not add this category to the Songs category. There's nothing to suggest they'd be signing original songs and what not like with RD's Josie and the Pussycats.
Question. Is the Fox article necessary? It's a short page that doesn't link anywhere else, and if necessary the info within it's page can be stated as trivia on the Riverdale article.
Question. Betty, Jughead, and Cheryl's articles are all still protected and I saw that your bot deleted the videos that no longer worked on YT. Can you unlock those articles so I can clean up that section or are you going to keep them locked until the premiere. If the latter, can you please remove the videos from their articles. Doesn't matter to me; I just wanted to let you know.
I think that's all the categories. I continue to browse and see if I missed any.
For the hospital page, can that section not be added since it's already written in summary format? Just curious since the header is loaded with info about events that occurred at the hospital and not the hospital itself.
So is it necessary to have the individual episode summaries then? As in, can it be revised to an encompassing summary versus individual admittance. I mean some other location articles have deviations in format but not the episodic summaries.
For the new episodes next month and formatting episode appearances, do you want 3-columns or come down below the first and second seasons for the third. Just wondering if that will be formatted prior to or with update for the premiere.
I was wondering if you've put any more thought into the minor characters page? If it's going to be combined into one page or if all minors will be eventually be written about (though they don't have to have the minor character infobox), etc.
With the addition of CAOS, it's something I've been giving some thought towards for some time. Probably just gonna merge the RD minor character pages (S1 and S2) and make one for Sabrina as well. Or not. Nothing's been decided.
I might have a couple of suggestions. I've seen a number of different ways to approach this from various kinds of communities, which I'm sure you've been looking at as well.
Also based on Kiernan's interview, can I create a page for the WICCA club and add to appropriate articles?
I've also found a few sources on a supporting/recurring role for CAOS, (based on a resume of the actor which includes the charcater's name). Is this sufficient or do I need something more. I've not seen pages be created apart from news releases. I'm assuming since it's a supporting role, he's billed as minor but he'll appear in multiple episodes. I can pass along links if you'd like to verify before answering; I didn't want to bother creating the character and actor pages without asking first.
I don't think merging is a bad idea but I'm not sure that it's necessary either. If merged, I think the two shows should be separate given there's five total seasons with another potential spinoff. RD would likely have many more minor characters than Sabrina given the 22 v. 10 episode orders and that'd just be a really long page to include 2+ series so I don't seen the benefit. I like the use of episode sections and listing each minor character within verses sections specifically for the minors i.e. fewer sections going with episodes if each episode more than a couple new minor characters. I've seen both formats used and I like the former the best. I personally find the minor character infobox a bit pointless if we're not going to include (write summaries) all minor characters. Picking and choosing which minors do and don't get it seems counter-productive to an encompassing community. Some minors also only have little details about their appearance so using the infobox just creates larges gaps of space. I've seen other communities use and not use infoboxes all within the same editing space and personally I'd suggest either they all get one or none (I'm leaning towards none). I also like the idea of constructing it using a table format but the coding for that can easily be messed up by inexperienced users but the benefit should mediate the large gaps given by infoboxes. If they appear 3 or more then the info can just be moved to a normal page. I've also seen galleries and other sections like Trivia used. Those are just my thoughts and comments.
Thanks I'll create it this afternoon.
I saw this tweet by Noodle Head Productions while scrolling through tweets. I've looked around and they are a legit Entertainment PR and Social Media Marketing Firm with a variety of clientele. They represent Peter Bundic: shown here and here. Their tweet congratulates his new role on Sabrina which is stated as Supporting Recurring Role of Carl Tapper; shown here. Peter also retweeted thier tweet, here. He also posted this photo on Instagram (he's also followed by Kiernan, Rose, and Gavin though that's not really confirmation based on other info). That's all I could find, but typically when resumes list recurring it's usually for 4-6 episodes and, given TVD's characters, are then usually killed off. So what do you think? Like I said before, I'm not sure if this is enough of a confirmation since I've only seen pages be created for characters released with character descriptions and stuff like the Evernevers.
Merging RD's minor character page with CAOS' minor character page was never the plan. I intend to merge RD's minor character pages for all seasons, making them one. RD Minor characters for s1, s2, s3 will all be found on one page. The same will be done for CAOS. Regarding episode sections, the problem with that is that some minor characters appear in more than one episode. So, having a character only in episode two, when they shortly appear in episodes 3 and 7 as well seems flawed.
I don't see the correlation or counter-productivity between infoboxs and picking and choosing which characters make the page. I dont get how one would be dependent on the other. "Picking and choosing" which characters make the MC page is done prevents the unnecessary clutter of irrelevant characters. It's a process done for relevancy. No one is coming to this Wiki to see what Angry Customer #5 or Sheriff Deputy #2 did. Literally no one. What would be the point in wasting time on something as insignificant as that?
Generally, pages are usually only created following some kind of release, but I'll allow this one since it all seems to check out that he'll be recurring
So I've address the comments above, but in doing so, I have more questions, so there's a lot more text below than I initially intended.
I see. I mistook your earlier comment with the 'or not'.
"Probably just gonna merge the RD minor character pages (S1 and S2) and make one for Sabrina as well. Or not. Nothing's been decided."
Follow up question, at what point do you consider a character recurring if they are minor or guest appearing? If a minor character has appeared 3 or more times? I've seen other communities with more stringent 'rule' like 5+, etc. But I don't think it's strictly defined here, or at least I didn't see it defined on the category page. Can something definitive be defined there, or can you point me to where it is defined?
I've seen it done both ways, sections by episodes and sections by the character, and among others. I prefer the latter because I feel like searching by episode is easier than specifically searching for a minor by name (or description) but it's all in how you want to organize and write the summary(ies). I also thought that, by episodes, it would be more consistent since most everything else is done that way, but a minor character page doesn't really conform to a 'standard practice' as say characters or episodes would across other communities (as references). Are there aspects of a format style you're drawing upon from another community for the revamp? At least for my comparison searches, I've viewed the communities where I edit and like to read from and as well as just whatever google search brought up from searching "wikia + season one (or 1) minor characters" or variants thereof. There's some pretty unique ones like for example this one (or this one), whereas I see this example adopted the format from here.
I see where you're coming from, but I do feel like that it's defeating the purpose and intention of having a minor character page. I would think being credited versus not, is relevancy enough but that's my own opinion. I mean at least a sentence or two can be written as a minor summary (where I think an infobox creates unnecessary space). Also, counter-productive in the sense that there's no such details for a collaborative guide to the extensive universe and I was more or less meaning that those that were deemed "relevant" gained an infobox, yet the infobox takes up way more space than most of the summaries. I'm going to assume those two are examples from an episode or two? I'm not sure if you're being literal or just making a point, but I'll assume they're real. But stemming from that example, it's like with Young Serpent... he's relevant for being a serpent (given Jughead his jacket and "having his back", etc., but he's not even a named character and hasn't appeared since), whereas Vic is named but other than selling a Christmas tree to Cheryl (and sleeping with Penelope for her Courtesan story-plot), I'd personally don't see his (or say the Club Manager, or even Young Serpent) relevance. However, if a summary can be written for those characters then how is that any more of a wasted time than a simple sentence of the others? Anyone can argue the relevance (either for or against) but as minor character their purpose is only to push along any given scene not the entirety of the plot and what one may view as irrelevant, to another it may be. Personally, I feel like it's an all or nothing kinda situation since they are in fact credited characters (whether named or not) and something like relevancy shouldn't be attributed to them (locations, objects, groups --sure). If that is not the case, then how does one identify something that just not been added like from S1 versus what you deem relevant and is chosen not to be added? Because for S1 there's only 4 minor characters when there are others.
So for Example: Sister Woodhouse has appeared at least 3 times and she's been relevant to move Cheryl and Chic's (his identity, anyways) story along, is she subject to be added to the minor character page or a page of her own? Or say Ms. Weiss who provided Betty with information with Charles (who then took it to Mrs. Woodhouse) (she also appeared in S1 too about Jughead's foster(?) parents when FP was arrested).
Is this something that needs addressing on a per character basis? That seems tedious in itself. I mean Byrdie was added and removed and added back for S2. Cassidy Bullick has his own page and likely should be merged to S2 but he's likely to be referenced a lot given his death and Archie's murder trial, but I wouldn't wager that he'd appear again (unless its something like Jason Blossom's appearances throughout S1).
Once a format has been chosen, I'll help write summaries for the missing minor characters and likely moreso for Sabrina so I thought I'd attempt to get some of these things addressed now since we're right about a month before RD's S3 premiere.
Also point of clarification, why does Farmer McGinty (Tony Todd guest starring) not have his own page like other guest stars and included as a "minor character". I mean he advanced the "Riverdale Reaper" storyline --should there be an editor's note explaining this or is it an oversight? Does the info need to be removed and added on a separate page?
I've adopted this sentiment going into Legacies (reduces cleanup after the fact), but I thought I'd still ask. I think I'd be more inclined to do it if he's a Guest Character but that doesn't appear to be the case. So to keep to a sort of 'unspoken' standard, I'll wait to create the articles (since there's not a released like with the others), I may just update the season one page with the actor and character name with sources (and no [dead] links) under supporting. Once the show premieres then I can add them.
3 or more appearances is generally when a character is promoted from minor to recurring. I'll add it somewhere for others to use as a reference
Another problem with searching by episode is the fact that some people don't always know what episode the character they're searching for appeared in. As for other communities and how they've done it, I haven't looked. Doing this myself. There's a few communities that have adopted my format for minor character pages. but that's bc I've implemented it on more than just this Wiki. Usually, I know the Admin of said Wiki that is using my format.
The purpose of the MC page is written in the header; "It spotlights characters that essentially received minor roles but were relevant enough in the story to which a page was needed to document their involvement". Key word being relevant. Back to my point of Angry Customer #5 and Sheriff Deputy #2 having no relevancy to the story. Documenting them just standing there as a background character doesn't offer much to the Wiki or it's readers. The large spaces created by the Infoboxes was one of the biggest reasons for this change, along with CAOS' addition to this Wiki. Angry Customer #5 and Sheriff Deputy #2 couldn't be more different from Young Serpent, who actually added to the story. Would you not call joining Tall Boy in the search for Fred's shooter relevant? How about torturing a guy in FP's trailer? Or even simply welcoming Jughead to Southside High and backing him. All these were relevant moments. What would you suggest that I write for someone like Sheriff Deputy #2? That he stood alongside Sheriff Minetta as the Serpents were arrested? Who does that help when no ones looking for him? Some characters are just blatantly more relevant than others. Of course the MC pages don't contain all the minor characters who were relevant, but that's bc I only have but so much time to offer. Given that I only havve so much time to offer, and with myself already carrying a lot of the load around here, some things are gonna fall behind. It's what it is.
Sister Woodhouse is getting her own page. As well as Farmer McGinty. I even already have her (Woodhouse) infobox image on my laptop. It's just something I havent gotten around to. I thought I had it added to my list of things to do on my user page, but apparently not. And Ms. Weiss will receive a spot once the page has been formatted and adjusted. Cassidy is in limbo until we know more. His presence will likely be felt and name will be mentioned a lot throughout the season, making the page a hot spot, a lot like Charles Smith, who's page saw a lot of views upon it's creation despite the character never actually appearing, meaning that people are greatly interested in this character. Also, characters don't get pages solely for being guest stars. It's just a coincidence thus far. Now, if the next guest start was to appear in one scene with like two lines, they they likely wouldn't get their own page.
That's fine. In fact, I'll probably stick with that unless something changes. Pages to be created only when a release of some kind is provided.
Thanks for placing it on the category. Once they are classified as recurring, with appearances they will be given pages, yes? I specify with appearances because of the limbo status of Cassidy, but I assume other will be more straightforward. Charles and Hiram were special cases. Charles doesn't appear but his page garnered views nonetheless, while Hiram was speculated that he'd appear eventually in S2, which he did. With the former, I gather it'd be more relevant to have his own page verses just being on the family page.
Like said, relevancy can be either or against in various ways for various characters. I don't necessarily agree with picking and choosing because at the end of the day they are all still minor characters whether their role was relevant or not so I think defining it as such is vague. That's just my opinion. I've seen other communities do this, whereas like TVD only highlights that they appeared with a picture and their actor (and nothing beyond that). Minor Characters are meant to push along plot points. I can see that Young Serpent does that for the scenes he's in, that is obvious. I don't think his influence or appearance is relevant to the overall plot. That's normally the dividing line between main and guest characters over supporting.
I'm going to assume that all the listed ones on the S1 page is considered relevant, since they've not been removed. I'm not sure if I'd agree with that. Their roles are rather forgettable for me, let alone any of the other minor characters that did not recur and have their own pages. If you can identify more relevant minor characters from S1 that do not have their own page nor is currently listed, then I can assist. I can work on a couple of episodes every now and again. Or S2, it doesn't really matter to me. Minor characters don't typically have large amounts of info associated with them, so I can write them rather quickly, once they've been identified. I can exclude Woodhouse and McGinty since you've already started that elsewhere. Can I add Aunt Criket and Uncle Bedford to the S1 and S2 pages; they were relevant to those plot points? I've listed them on the family page, but I don't see why they couldn't be featured there as well.
I can write Ms. Weiss, if you'd like, once a format has been chosen. Or since edits is generally fluid, can write it and format it later. Though that just makes extra work. Whichever you'd like.
Guest stars subject to plot relevancy as well? I was under the assumption that it was how they were credited but that's not the case; just as you say, is a coincidence. Speaking of, would a guest star category be relevant of such cast? I notice that some categories were being changed, and that there wasn't a delineation with guest cast/character, just that they've been recurring.
Is there a general policy on article creation? I only know that Categories are with consultation and infobox templates are a big no, steaming from the episode template being altered and that generally most are protected. I've generally asked prior to creation but I wonder if that is cumbersome to you.
Hmm. This gives me pause to be more specific elsewhere. Thank you.
Speaking of specific. When you have the time, will you update the Manual of Style for a few things. I've noticed that on several episode pages the cast order varies between how Guest and minors are listed, i.e. some are placed under the main characters or both to the right. Then Minors are listed before Guest or vice versa. The recent episodes are more uniform and I was going to correct those that do not follow the format such as from Chapter Forty-One: Manhunter i.e.
The manual doesn't specify the order, but I assume that the above is the desired format.
Additionally. Are we using Throughout Riverdale/Chilling Adventures of Sabrina or Throughout the Series. The policy states the latter, but I've seen the former used. Is the policy changing or is this too an oversight. If the latter, I will edit those to conform to the policy. But I wanted to check. I wasn't sure if it was going to be specific to their series or not because it changed after the announcement and pick up of Sabrina but I've seen other that still treat it as separate versus "the Series" and wanted clarification.
Also the top navigation does not link to "Riverdale Wiki:Policies and guidelines". It was deleted and moved twice from something else but wasn't corrected there. Just thought I'd let you know so it can be corrected.
Also I was wondering if a group section can be added to the policy. Their structure vary among pages some have certain sections while others don't. I.e. are there specific sections that all group pages must have, while other sections can be added or removed as needed based on what's needed for the page.
Okay sounds good. I might would add that last bit to a Article Creation section as I mentioned above for a general policy suggestion.
Thank you for indulging the questions and comments (as well as my opinions particularly with Minor Characters). It has been insightful.
The page is to spotlight characters with relevancy. Not sure where 'overall plot' has to do with anything. I've never even encountered a MC page following that format. Most of Riverdale's characters aren't even afforded that luxury. Sweet Pea, Toni, Fangs - 90% of their relevancy correlates to Jughead's Serpent story. When Josie finally appears, is she ever connected to the 'overall plot'? probably not. The core four are the only character guaranteed to influence the 'overall plot'.
That assumption would be incorrect. 'Club Manager' was irrelevant, and so I removed him from the page earlier. I also intend to add on a couple characters, such as Manfred muggs, aunt cricket, uncle bedford, Dr. Curdle, etc. I'm already in the process of working on these characters, so it's fine. Like you said, minor characters don't have large amounts of info associated with them. I should be able to get through them fairly soon.
So far all guest stars were either announced through press release or became recurring, which is why they all received pages. Regarding categories, there isn't a delineation of any cast members beyond the fact that some are for Riverdale and others are for CAOS. And that hasn't been a problem as of yet.
I figured that it was apparent that there isn't a policy on article creation given all the Sabrina pages that were created by other users. Press release or an recurring status is often enough to warrant a page. And I dont really see that as much as policy as it is a general consensus within most, if not all TV Wikis.
I see nothing wrong with how the cast section of Chapter Forty-One: Manhunter is formatted. They're done so that neither side ends up looking like a long list. For example, Chapter Twenty-Three: The Blackboard Jungle. If Guest Starring was moved under Starring rather than Co-Starring then the left side would run a lot longer than the right. The manual doesn't specify the order bc there isnt one. But starring will always come first.
I'm using Throughout Riverdale/Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I too noticed the inconsistency in pages. Any the pages that stil remain as Series will be fixed. And I'll correct the top navigation. Didn't realize a deadlink had formed.
Okay thanks. I see that the new page is up and going. Are there any others from either the first or second season that needs to be added that you have already written else where that I can assist with?
As for the cast structure. Sounds good. I'll correct it where it's not as you've stated.
Also can you please rename these images: First and Second. I mispelled Dorcas and the second, I mistook for October Country, but it's a First Look (I've already uploaded the other 9 images that are new).
EDIT: Is it also okay to "re-upload" these two image as png files? One and Two. I uploaded profile pictures that someone else upload the entire image, but they too are jpg. Also, I added the First Looks as their original release qualities minus the watermark from SpoilerTV-- are we discouraging the upload/use of watermarked promotional images? I know a lot of screencaps are watermarked so I thought from SpoilerTV would be okay, but if it's not, then I'll know for the future.
The first season is done. I plan on looking through S2 to see if there are any minor characters that warrant a spot on the page
Both images have been taken care of.
Would there be a difference in image quality or anything of that nature? If not, I don't see what the point would be in switching from jpg to png. Seems it would just result in more images having to be deleted if there's no difference other than the file type. I honestly don't see any difference between the images you just uploaded and the ones I previously uploaded. We should try to avoid unnecessary uploads. Unmarked promotional images are preferred.
Okay, well if you identify any that you don't have the time to write, hit me up and I can assist writing them.
Okay thank you.
Well there are slight variations in the name and .png is the preferred format. I assume their images will be updated with something from the season one finale (since Netflix has yet to release promo stills like Riverdale has done for their main cast) and having them already as png helps with that. Up to you if you want them changed; I just thought I'd offer. The images that I reupload are the highest quality images released to third party media coverage sites, nearly 4k resolution or ultra high-def. Apart from the logos on SpoilerTV released images, if I had known that watermarked promo should be avoided, I would have waited for another site to release them. Now I know it's the latter. If higher quality images exist that were released from Netflix, then I don't see why they cannot be used over the lower quality images (essentially, I just replaced the images I originally uploaded without the logo). Am I wrong in thinking this? Where did you find the lower quality ones anyways, because most of the sites that released them were the higher quality ones, even on Twitter and SpoilerTV (albeit watermarked) and other sites?
Fair point. I did intend to update all the infobox images with screencaps from the finale, so I guess having the images as png makes that slightly easier of a task. With that being said, feel free to reupload png versions. I see. No you weren;t wrong. As for the images, I was link from Twiteer to some site I'm not familiar with, but they were of he few to have them unmarked at the time
Okay. Thanks. I've done so and placed the other images up for deletion. I see. In the future, I'll be sure to look for them apart from SpoilerTV. They are one of the only sites that watermark the promotional images they receive, which I don't understand. Other outlets report them as well, but don't do it. makes it unnecessary on their part.
Me either. Kinda annoying but usually other outlets eventually release them as well. I guess it more of a getting their "name" out there especially if other sites use "their images" as well, but event that doesn't make much sense.
I didn't want to intrude in the other message but I googled Annette Reilly and she confirmed in an interview, linked below, that she's Sabrina's mother, Diana Spellmen. As far as Georgie Daburas, he posted something on IG in August about a new project but stated he couldn't say what and on Twitter he's RT a bunch of CAOS tweets but nothing of a confirmation, yet. Just fyi.
I already know. I googled her as well after he left me the message. The same interview turned up, as well as a Facebook post of her confirming a recurring role, and a number of smaller sites have her listed under cast too. My only point in the message with the other user remains the same, which is that IMDB is unreliable. Nothing else. I'll be sure to get a page up for her in due time
^.^ Not sure if that user understands or not, though. Or maybe they just trust IMDb, idk. Either way, you can share that with them if you'd like.
It's nice to know that we'll at least get to see her parents in some fashion (especially it seems like for S1 and we won't have to wait until S2) and it's going to likely be very similar to the comics.
With the mid-season finale title and poster draft image, it would appear that Archie tries to (or made to look like) he escapes from jail. Which would give context to RAS's tweet about life being normal for the other regulars. Seems to be shaping up a bit better given all the shipper nonsense previously released.
RAS states that No. 8 is the midseason finale. I assume he wouldn't either. I even made the statement way back that I doubted he'd spend more than an episode or two in jail, unlike FP, since he's the star of the show. Frankly, I just hope the focus can shift and include other characters while he's behind bars, though Veronica will probably revolve around it.
Have you seen these interviews? I'll probably update some infoboxes, soon, with some of the content.
They're pretty good interviews (A user posted them in discussions, so I thought I'd share.). I like the Davis/Otto one most, though. They spill some details and the actors give some perspective on their characters.
It would seem, now, that the Ethel image is in fact from 3x02; source (I've also updated Britta's article with this trivia about her book). So perhaps the images that RAS has released are not all from the premiere episode, or at least according to Britta, this on is not. Just an fyi, if you want to wait until the premiere to rename it for confirmation.
Will you be unlocking the other character pages, such as Cheryl, Betty and Fangs? Or the Serpents page? More curious about the characters but I thought I'd ask since they didn't have a date associated with them.
Also, you might want to double check this user's contributions. I did not catch the credits at the beginning, but they changed them for all the episodes thus far named.
Just an fyi, "End-of-Summer" isn't a proper noun. There's no reason to have it capitalized (like end-of-year exams or end-of-year returns, etc.). "Plea of guilt" is also correct, however it can be reworded as it currently stands. It appears you you wrote "Archie's plea of guilty" in many instances -- Archie's plea of guilt is correct. Hell-raiser is also hyphened: see this.
Just an fyi, "End-of-Summer" is capitalized in the transcript for the episode. Same reasoning as to why "Hellraiser" is spelled the way it is. Also, Archie's guilty plea flows better then either of the previous sentences.
Cassidy isn't necessarily an example. We don't know what the deal was with his name. It could've just as easily been a name change or a misspelling. The same way they continue to misspell Hermione in synopsis and even on the show.
You didn't include Marty Mantle in that File name. I contacted Tammzz, because she was active and thought you were out for a bit. Anywho, I asked her to rename it as: RD-Promo-3x04-The-Midnight-Club-15-Teen-Marty-Teen-Hiram.jpg
