JulyEdit

  • The morning of July 4th, Cheryl and Jason Blossom drove out to Sweetwater River for a boat ride, during which time the boat tipped, and Jason fell in and supposedly drowned.
    • Cheryl was later found on the shores of the river by Dilton Doiley and his scouts.
    • It would later be revealed that Cheryl fabricated the entire story of her brother drowning. The truth was that Jason wanted to leave Riverdale for good, and didn't want his parents to come looking for him. He and Cheryl staged the accident, so as to fake Jason's death. In actuality, Cheryl and Jason made it to the other side of the river unharmed and parted ways, which was the last time Cheryl saw or heard from her brother.
    • However, he was found on the other side and taken to the Whyte Wyrm, held in the basement. Jason was tied to a chair while a Serpent, Mustang, taunted him. A while later, Cliff appeared. He took Nana Blossom's ring from Jason's pocket, then he pointed the gun at Jason's face and shot him.

    • Hal Cooper made an appointment for Polly to have an abortion behind his wife's back.
  • July 4th weekend, Archie and Jughead were supposed to go on a road trip, however, Archie canceled at the last moment.
    • Archie's reason for canceling was to get together with his music teacher, Geraldine Grundy, at Sweetwater River. While there, the two heard a gun-shot, which was initially believed to have been the shot that killed Jason Blossom.
    • It was later revealed that the gunshot had actually been fired by Dilton Doiley, who had been teaching his scouts to shoot.
  • On July 4th, Jason Blossom approached FP Jones at Whyte Wyrm, and made a deal with him. FP would give him a vehicle and cash as long as he delivered some drugs for them. However, after learning he was the son of Cliff Blossom, FP captured Jason, tied him up and tortured him in the basement of the Wyrm. FP was going to hold Jason for ransom.
    • On July 11th, this plan ultimately backfired as Clifford killed Jason for reasons still unknown. Afterwards, FP Jones and Joaquin DeSantos discovered Jason's body in the basement, and they covered it up and got rid of any evidence that could link them to the crime, even though they didn't do it. They then dumped Jason's corpse at Sweetwater River.
    • Coincidentally, this is the same week that the Blossom family buried an empty casket, as Jason's body hadn't yet been found.
  • Archie spent the summer working construction for his father's company, Andrews Construction.
