Riverdale Wiki Timeline

This page functions as the current Timeline for The CW's Riverdale. It contains matters of the past, present and future (if necessary) in chronological order.

  • Manfred Mugggs immigrated to the United States from Holland, and dropped the third "G" from his family name.
  • In 1941 Riverdale was founded.
  • The Blossoms started a maple syrup business together which they named Blossom Maple Farms.
    • The two Blossom brothers, Cheryl's great-grandfather and Betty's great-grandfather, had a feud that caused one Blossom brother to murder the other over greed and hate. They were business partners in the selling and trading of maple syrup, however, Cheryl's great-grandfather decided he no longer wanted to share the profits and murdered Betty's. The feud between the two Blossom brothers a couple generations ago led to the splitting of the bloodline, causing one of the brothers’ lines changing their last name to Cooper while the others kept the Blossom name - this lasts to present day.
  • FP Jones, Fred Andrews, Hal and Alice Cooper attended their Homecoming dance where Hal and Alice were crowned King and Queen. Fred and FP's band played as entertainment.
  • Hal and Alice had an argument on the night of being crowned Homecoming king and queen. Alice had learnt she was pregnant, and she gave birth to a baby boy five months later. With the help of the Sisters of Quiet Mercy, they arranged an adoption for the baby.
  • Hermione Lodge and Fred Andrews briefly dated in high school before Hermione left him for the rich kid, Hiram Lodge.
    • Hermione and Hiram went on to marry and moved to New York City. There, they had a daughter who they named Veronica.
    • Fred later married Mary Andrews and they also had one child, a son named Archie.
    • Alice and Hal got married and had Polly and Betty.
  • On October 2, 2001 Jughead Jones was born to FP Jones.
    • In 2009, Jughead was sent to a juvenile detention facility for attempting to burn down Riverdale Elementary School.
  • Two years prior to the series, Mary and Fred Andrews separated, and Mary moved to Chicago.
  • FP Jones was fired from Andrews Construction and subsequently began drinking heavily.
    • FP's wife and daughter then left him and moved to Toledo. Jughead moved into the projection booth at the Twilight Drive-In, his workplace.
  • Hiram Lodge hired the Southside Serpents to decrease the property value of the Twilight Drive-In, in order for the Lodge Industries to buy the land at a cheaper price.
  • During the 2016-2017 school year, Polly Cooper and Jason Blossom began dating. However, after pressure from his parents, Jason later broke up with Polly.
    • Upon learning that she was pregnant, Polly Cooper and Jason Blossom secretly resumed their relationship and became engaged, with Rose Blossom's heirloom ring.
  • To get away from their parents, Jason and Polly planned to run away together, and start a new life on a farm upstate. The plan would occur on July 4th.
    • To finance their getaway, Jason approached the Southside Serpents and they had him run drugs in exchange for cash.

Season 1Edit

  • The morning of July 4th, Cheryl and Jason Blossom drove out to Sweetwater River for a boat ride, during which time the boat tipped, and Jason fell in and supposedly drowned.
    • Cheryl was later found on the shores of the river by Dilton Doiley and his scouts.
    • It would later be revealed that Cheryl fabricated the entire story of her brother drowning. The truth was that Jason wanted to leave Riverdale for good, and didn't want his parents to come looking for him. He and Cheryl staged the accident, so as to fake Jason's death. In actuality, Cheryl and Jason made it to the other side of the river unharmed and parted ways, which was the last time Cheryl saw or heard from her brother.
    • However, he was found on the other side and taken to the Whyte Wyrm, held in the basement. Jason, was tied to a chair while a Serpent, Mustang, taunted him. A while later, Cliff appeared. He took Nana Blossom's ring from Jason's pocket, then he pointed the gun in Jason's face and shot him.
  • Alice Cooper learned of Polly and Jason's plan as well as her pregnancy, and in order to prevent Polly from leaving town, Alice had her locked away at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy, a home for "troubled youths".
    • Hal Cooper made an appointment for Polly to have an abortion behind his wife's back.
  • July 4th weekend, Archie and Jughead were supposed to go on a road trip, however, Archie canceled at the last moment.
    • Archie's reason for canceling was to get together with his music teacher, Geraldine Grundy, at Sweetwater River. While there, the two heard a gun-shot, which was initially believed to have been the shot that killed Jason Blossom.
    • It was later revealed that the gunshot had actually been fired by Dilton Doiley, who had been teaching his scouts to shoot.
  • On July 4th, Jason Blossom approached FP Jones at Whyte Wyrm, and made a deal with him. FP would give him a vehicle and cash as long as he delivered some drugs for them. However, after learning he was the son of Cliff Blossom, FP captured Jason, tied him up and tortured him in the basement of the Wyrm. FP was going to hold Jason for ransom.
    • On July 11th, this plan ultimately backfired as Clifford killed Jason for reasons still unknown. Afterwards, FP Jones and Joaquin DeSantos discovered Jason's body in the basement, and they covered it up and got rid of any evidence that could link them to the crime, even though they didn't do it. They then dumped Jason's corpse at Sweetwater River.
    • Coincidentally, this is the same week that the Blossom family buried an empty casket, as Jason's body hadn't yet been found.
  • Archie spent the summer working construction for his father's company, Andrews Construction.
  • Betty attended as an internship over the summer where she organized a book release party for Toni Morrison.
